Zion can be very crowded during summer month weekands. Including traffic jams to get there. 

The most exposed area I experienced was a river walk in Narrows. It's nice to cool down in high summer temperatures but the number of people there were unbearable. 

Contrary there was almost nobody on rarely visited places like a Hidden canyon or distant views of the Canyon Overlook or Lava Point.
