There are iron ropes on couple of places on the way, but no equipment is needed if you are not affraid.
The path is closed between November 1 – June 14.

Access: car to Žiarska chata for accomodated (parking €10, accomodation €18-35) or bus and walk 5.1 km 411 m up on paved road.
If you are lucky, at the evening there are scooters to rent to go down a bus stop.
The restaurant can be crowded on weekends.
They sell a big full-size cup of tea! Not sure why it is so rare nowadays.
