A famous ski tour since mid-19th century: between the Mont Blanc, Argentière/Chamonix and the Matterhorn, Zermatt and beyond.

Most days over 3500 m+. 

Variations from 4-10 days or more:

• longer and easier start with an acclimatization on the Refuge Albert 1er

• classic variation 6-7 days with a help of a taxi or bus through Champex

• purist variation without the taxi intermezzo via Col de la Grande Lui 

• one can even continue to Haute Route Imperiale or Spaghetti Route right before reaching Zermatt

Huts are open from early March to April or early May.
